Each
summer Gorazde sends us messages about love among people encouraging
all those who belive in peace, kindness and goodness.
The BiH, European and world audience identify this unique
manifestation by the honest and spontaneous friendship of
its participants, the number and quality of contents, ass
well as the fact that it is widely accepted by citizens. More
than 1.300 artists from 24 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa
and America prepared an unforgettable and spectacular cultural
firework that attracted tenths of thousands of citizens from
BiH and abroad.
For 11 days, Gorazde lived in the spirit of frienship and
in the spirit of the festival that has, during its ten years
of existence, become the reason why people regularly come
and stay in the town on the beautiful river Drina each August.
They were playing, singing and cheering on both sides of the
river Drina, on stages settled on its left and right coast,
on squares, in parks, and in the streets and institutions
of Gorazde.
Musicians, acrobats, jongleurs and clowns paraded down the
streets and amused people walking by. |

A
big firework and the sounds of the festival anthem
"Give me your hand, friend" marked the beginning
of the days of true fun and many sleepless nights. During
those days Gorazde lived 24 hours a day...The following
are only some of the many contents that could be seen
during the festival:
Music, dance, songs and circus art performed by members
of the Nantes Collective, Saint Brieux and Lamballe
from France, the international painting colony "The
Colors of Friendship" that gave Gorazde 42 art
pieces, performances by theaters from Konjic, Bugojno,
Sarajevo, Milan, Ravenna; the Summer festival of Books,
literary evenings, fashion shows, belly dance performances,
a parade of folklore in which 18 cultural societies
from 10 countries took part; pop-rock and folk concerts. |

The
most valuable things to come out of this festival were new
friendships and nice memories.
The host town can be proud of its jubilee "Festival of
friendship - Gorazde 2008", which is with a reason among
ten most significant cultural events in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
And of course, by tradition, the organizer was the Gorazde
municipality. |
